A 17-year-old from Lebanon has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash in February. 17-year-old Eva Dawn Grantham was allegedly, hill-topping and driving at speeds up to 87 miles per hour, on Rockwell Drive, when she crashed killing a 16-year-old passenger and injuring herself and two others. According to court documents, 6 days before the February 15th crash Grantham had been warned by a trooper after she stated that she was going to Rockwell Drive because there was a place she could “catch air”. The trooper reportedly told her during the February 9th traffic stop, it was unsafe and there was a high risk that she could crash and kill the occupants. This week Grantham was charged with involuntary manslaughter and felony assault, with an arraignment date set for October 5th in Laclede County.
