The Street Department for the City of Lebanon has begun work on streets, including filling potholes, and larger-scale street surface improvements will begin soon. One significant street project is downtown. Lebanon Public Works Director Richard Shockley said they are working on a plan for Commercial Street surface improvements, and the first step is to perform a study.

Once the study is complete, Shockley said they will have a better idea of the cost and sustainability of the street surface options and will present it to City Council. The city has budgeted around $250-thousand for the Commercial Street surface improvements.
