Lebanon resident and GOCAPS Lake Region Coordinator Ann Hopper is one of only 34 individuals participating in Leadership Missouri. The program which is offered by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce allows participants to enhance their leadership skills by exploring the state’s economic, political and social issues. Hooper tells Regional Radio News that
the first session took them to St Louis.

Hopper said that session allowed them to experience some of the social challenges that take place in larger cities. She said the second session took them to Kirksville where they learned how manufacturers are dealing with labor shortages, including getting work Visa’s for employees coming from outside the U.S. Leadership Missouri is a 7 month program which allows participants to learn more about industry, government and the people that make up Missouri’s economy.
