Lebanon R3 Storm Shelters open when storm sirens sound

Springtime weather can get a severe in the Ozarks and every community seeks to be prepared for residents. In Lebanon, the R-3 School District now has 3 storm shelters that can provide safe haven when a tornado warning has been issued. Lebanon R-3 Superintendent David Schmitz says they have storm shelters in the district, and they have procedures in place to make them available….
Schmitz said when school is in session and children are in the buildings, the Storm Shelter at Boswell Elementary is the only one that is open for public use. He said people need to know that parking for the Boswell Storm Shelter is behind the school.
