Due to extensive student and staff absences for COVID-19 and other illnesses, and a shortage of substitute teachers, the Lebanon School District will be closing today (January 19) through Friday, January 21.

The Joel E Barber School will be closed for the rest of the week as well. C-5 Superintendent Rachelle Jennings said that attendance has been impacted by illness.

Jennings said the illness impacting attendance includes Covid and Influenza A. She said the plan is to return to classes on January 24th. Jennings said in the meantime the school is in the process of deep cleaning the building.
