Lebanon R-3 has not encountered problems with students refusing to wear masks at school
All Lebanon students are required to wear a mask at school this year when social distancing is not possible. R-3 Communications Director, Jacy Overstreet, says she is not aware of any problems the district has had with students refusing to wear a mask. Overstreet says students and staff have adapted to the masking policy the district instituted before school began……….
Overstreet says if a student refuses to wear a mask in a setting where one is required they will face disciplinary action, including being sent home to protect other students and staff………
Students who come to school without a mask will be provided with one by the district. The district instituted the masking policy in an attempt to prevent a large outbreak like the one in the Joel E. Barber Summer School program.
