Budget discussions for fiscal year 2021 are underway for the City of Lebanon. During the Thursday night work session, City Council heard presentations from department heads, including Finance Director Kat Gil who said they are expecting a carryover of $18.6 million, and new revenue of $58-million, and after appropriations there will be about $15-million in the bank.
Among expenditures requested by the Fire Chief was the purchase of a quick attack small fire engine at a cost of $330-thousand-dollars, and new personal protective equipment totaling around $85-thousand. Police Chief Brian Arnold requested 6 more patrol vehicles, active shooter training, and evidence room training. He also requested items that would speed investigations….

Another request would help protect children and senior citizens..

Chief Arnold also requested 4 additional personnel with a priority going to squad coverage.
