Lebanon Planning and Zoning approves several replats

A request for a conditional use permit by a builder to put two 4 plexes at 836 West Park Manor was denied during the meeting of Lebanon Zoning and Planning, Thursday night. During a public hearing the Commission heard opposition on the request with a resident saying that the neighborhood is small and there is not much room for additional traffic. In other business, a rezoning request was considered for property next to Atchley Park at the corner of North 5 and Goldenwood. Code Administrator Joe Berkich said previously a site plan wasn’t approved because of an issue with a driveway placement on Goldenwood. Berkich said the Engineer has since been in discussions with Modot and they believe they have that issue resolved, so now the property needs to be rezoned.

The recommendation for rezoning the property was approved in a vote of 5 to 1. The rezoning request will now go to Lebanon City Council for approval. If all of the paperwork and plans are approved the developer will be constructing a Dollar General Store. In other business, a replat of 708 West Commercial was approved. The property owner wants to construct a mini storage facility, and a site plan for a conditional use permit will have to be approved at a future meeting. Also approved by Lebanon Zoning and Planning was a replat of lots at 933 St Louis Street, where the owner wants to build two homes, and a replat of Legacy Trails Subdivision property at 425 Cobb Drive was approved.
