Lebanon Parks Department presented an update to Lebanon City Council during the Monday night meeting. Parks Director John Shelton said they continue working toward goals that have been established by City Council. He said they have installed additional lights and signage, and are working to upgrade security in the parks..

Shelton said they are working on installing tile floors in all of the park bathrooms to address some public complaints, and are working on a plan to expand walking trails in the park system.

With the increased use of the parks and growing funding needs, the City is asking for a sales tax for parks and to manage stormwater, during the August election. According to the Park Board, the idea is to get visitors involved in contributing to the cost of park operations.
