Lebanon Man Reaches Plea Deal In Child Porn Case

A Lebanon man has reached a plea agreement in a case involving child pornography.

45-year-old Karl Mason was taken into custody in January under allegations of nine charges connected to child pornography. During his preliminary court hearing this week, his attorney, Adam Woody of Springfield, entered a guilty plea to a single charge of first-degree promoting child pornography. In return for this plea, the remaining eight charges against him were dismissed.

Mason is set to be sentenced on October 2nd in Laclede County before Circuit Judge Matthew Phillip Hamner.

Authorities discovered over 300 images and videos featuring child pornography in Mason’s possession.
