Lebanon Man Pleads Guilty To Rape…Kidnapping

A 52-year-old Lebanon man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by Judge Kenneth Hayden for the kidnapping and rape of his cab driver. Jerry Warnock entered a guilty plea on March 20th to one count of first-degree rape and one count of armed criminal action. The charges of second-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault were dropped in exchange for his plea.

Warnock received a sentence of 20 years for the rape charge and ten years for the armed criminal action charge, but he will serve them concurrently. The incident occurred last July when the driver was called to a convenience store near Lebanon, and Warnock asked her to take him to his job on Hemlock Road. When they arrived at their destination, Warnock attacked the woman, wrapped her seatbelt around her throat, restrained her with zip ties, and drove to a remote location where he raped and assaulted her.
