A Lebanon man is facing charges after an investigation into a wreck in the 600 block of South Jefferson on Saturday. Lebanon Police responded to King Cash Savers that a vehicle had hit two vehicles and the building, and had taken off running. When Lebanon Police were responding they were notified that a trooper with the Highway Patrol was chasing the suspect, and had him in custody behind Walgreens. The suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Scotty Joe Ruble was allegedly intoxicated and had a bloody nose from being forced to the ground by the Trooper. During the investigation, witnesses said that Ruble had hit a vehicle in the parking lot of King Cash Saver, pushing it into a pillar, and then struck a second pillar causing extensive damage to the building. He then left the parking lot and lost a back tire, spun out, and came to rest on Jefferson Avenue. Ruble then jumped out and ran. While Lebanon Police were taking him into custody, they say Ruble was struggling against them, while they were putting in a patrol car. Ruble is charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest and driving while intoxicated. His bond is set at $25-thousand cash or surety.
