Lebanon City Council reviews capital projects
Lebanon City Council received a brief update from City Administrator Mike Schumacher on capital projects that are underway, during the work session on Thursday. He said they only have preliminary plans for the Public Safety Building, and the fire team has been really great in making recommendations and accepting cuts where they have to be made to meet cost restrictions. As the plan moves forward there will be some work to extend Beck Lane, and some main power poles will have to be moved to widen the road for turnouts for the fire apparatus. He also gave an update on progress at the Cowan Civic Center
Work is also being planned for the Mills Center. Schumacher said the downtown water tower has been painted and the logo will be going on it soon. During the update on storm damage, he said $463-thousand is expected from insurance to cover some of the cost of repairs and replacement of damaged property owned by the city He also reports that the Farmers Market completion is underway.
