Lebanon City Council has approved the purchase of land for the location of a new emergency services building. The Public Safety Building was one of the elements in the ballot language of a sales tax recently approved by voters. The land purchase was in the amount of $85-thousand-dollars. In other business, Lebanon City Council voted to give a raise to future Mayors and Council members. The ordinance increases the position of Mayor to $800 per month and the position of Councilmember to $400 per month. The increase won’t go into effect until July 1 2020 and July 1, 2021, when the next elections take place.
