Lebanon City Council held public hearings and voted on requests affecting the property in Fremont Meadows subdivision which is a simple matter of combining 2 lots for the owner, and another was to move the property line between two properties. All of those requests were approved. Council also held a public hearing and first reading on rezoning property at 1500 Beck Lane from RS-1 Residential and M-1 Light Industrial to RS-2 Residential to build a subdivision of single-family housing. According to City Staff, the rezoning of this property will add multiple single-family dwellings and will help with the affordable housing shortage the City of Lebanon is currently experiencing. Jim Carroll addressed Council saying their plan is to build rental homes ranging from 2 bedrooms to 4 bedrooms….

The plan is to begin construction in May of 2022 with phase 1 being ready for occupants in late summer 2023. Phase one of the project also includes a Community Clubhouse which will be built as a storm shelter. City Council approved the first reading to rezone the property. Council also approved rezoning property in the Brackett Subdivision at 2238 South Jefferson which is vacant and undeveloped property. The property owner is seeking to rezone the property to commercial in order to build storage units. The first reading for that request was approved as well.
