Lebanon City Council approves several purchases at their Monday night meeting
After consideration on Monday night, Lebanon City Council voted to approve the purchase of a Backyard Track Machine from Altec. Electric Department Supervisor Travis Long said this equipment will allow them better access to the right of way in back yards.
Long said the new machine will fit through a 36-inch gate. The purchase cost of the machine and trailer will be around $121-thousand-dollars. He said it could be up to 120 days before it arrives.
In other business, the council approved the purchase of materials for the Wrinkle Avenue Water project. Included in the purchase are materials needed to replace existing and extend the line with a 12-inch pipe.
Lebanon City Council approved the purchase of all necessary materials for construction of a Salt Storage Building at Lebanon Public Works. Mike Moore is Street Superintendent for the City of Lebanon….
Moore said they may have to contract out the roof and the decision needs to be made whether to put on a metal or wooden roof. The cost of the project was approved not to exceed $75-thousand. Council also approved the purchase of a new forklift for the city warehouse.
