According to City Staff, the price last year was $14.26 per ton less than this year’s low bid. In other business, the Council approved the purchase of a Street Sweeper. The street sweeper that is being replaced was purchased in 2016

 

 

The bid from Armor Equipment was for $289,399.00 for a 2023 TYMCO Model 600 street sweeper. Council also approved a purchase for the Wastewater treatment plant to restock rotors for $16,571 from IBT Industrial Solutions and Disc Aerators for the treatment plant oxidation ditch for $70-thousand. For the electric department council approved an expenditure of $486-thousand-565 for pad mounts and transformers, from Sunbelt Solomon and UTB Transformers. Electric Department Supervisor Travis Long told City Council that the lead time to receive those items is about 60 weeks. Lebanon Arbor Care was approved to maintain vegetation along the electric system, and Burk and Katska was approved for Tree Trimming Services.
