Leadership Pulaski County invites the community to its Annual Meeting and Open House on April 13th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber will be showcasing Leadership Pulaski County, Junior Leadership Pulaski County, CHOICES, and Scholarship programs. There will be a brief program at 11:30 a.m. and refreshments will be served. The LPC Alumni Foundation coordinates educational resources and programs to enhance the development of emerging leaders and students in Pulaski County by raising, managing, and distributing charitable contributions. The LPC Alumni Foundation is a non-profit (tax-exempt) organization. The open house will provide community members the opportunity to meet Leadership Pulaski County alumni and gather information about the program. The goal of Leadership Pulaski County is to identify community leaders, expand the leadership potential of participants by increasing their knowledge of Pulaski County, as well as connect current and potential leaders by improving communication. Leadership Pulaski County is designed to develop, inspire, and motivate the leaders of Pulaski County.
Junior Leadership Pulaski County’s goals are to encourage students to realize their own potential and develop their leadership skills. The CHOICES® Program is presented to all 8th graders in Pulaski County each fall. CHOICES® is an interactive, decision-making workshop that empowers teens to achieve academic success in pursuit of their career and life aspirations. In two 50-minute sessions, local business and community volunteers take students through real-world exercises on academic self-discipline, time and money management, and goal setting. Teens discover that they can take charge of their lives.
