Law Enforcement responds to more than a thousand calls in Camden County
The Lake of the Ozarks region is seeing a substantial increase in the number of visitors, and more people means more calls for law enforcement. During the latest report from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, there were more than a thousand calls for service over the last week. Captain Chris Twitchel said during a normal week they have about 600 calls for service….
Twitchel said there are times when the Camden County Sheriff’s Office has to ask for aid from the Highway Patrol and local police departments to meet the demand.
Twitchel said that he believes that recent national media attention has drawn many people to the Lake of the Ozarks, many of whom are buying homes to get away from the larger cities.
