The Missouri Senate has passed a large law enforcement package Wednesday. The bill would only allow officers to use a chokehold on someone if there’s a threat of serious physical harm or death against the officer or others. It also has provisions about requiring stimulus checks to prisoners to first be used to pay restitution to their victims and would charge a law enforcement officer with a felony if they have sexual contact with someone in custody. Senator Brian Williams, a Democrat from St. Louis County, helped to work out differences between the House and Senateā€¦

The plan heads to the House for a final vote.
