(Waynesville)–There is just a week left for candidates to file for city office in the April city and school elections. Two candidates have filed for city council in Crocker. Jeff Curry, the current Ward 1 councilman, has filed for re-election. So has Ward 2 incumbent, Michael Criswell. In Richland, Mona Shaw has filed for re-election as Ward 1 councilmember. In Ward 2, Mark C. Howlett has filed for the two-year council seat. He is serving out an unexpired Ward 2 council post. Dominic Pemberton has signed up for the full two-year term as Ward 3 councilmember. Current holder of the seat, Carmine Sue Dougherty, has filed instead for a one-year unexpired term in Ward 3. In Dixon, Gary Brankel has filed for City Marshall. Larry Russell, Junior, has filed for Ward 2 council member. Shawn Stevens and Trevor Warnal has filed for Ward 3 council. At this point, no one has filed for the Ward 1 council post and no one has filed for Dixon Municipal Judge.
There are only two candidates who have filed for St. Robert City Office. Teresa Cook has filed for Ward 1 councilwoman and Linda Daniels has filed for councilwoman in Ward 2. So far, no one has filed for the St. Robert City Council in Wards 3 and 4. In Waynesville, Incumbent councilmembers Cecil Davis, Ed Donnelly, and Mike Curtis have filed for re-election in Wards 2, 3, and 4 respectively. Ward 1 councilman, Dr. Jerry Brown, has filed for Waynesville Mayor. So far, no one has filed for Ward 1 councilman. The deadline to file for the April municipal election is next Tuesday, January 21st, at 5 p-m.
