LANEG Officer makes drug trafficking arrest

A former Poplar Bluff resident has been charged with drug trafficking in Laclede County. A man who was driving a vehicle with tint on the windows that was over the limit, was arrested on March 21st. According to the report, an officer pulled over a man who was driving a car that had been cited previously because of the dark window tint at 2nd and Madison. The driver was known to be under investigation for delivery of a controlled substance. The officer asked for consent to search the car but was denied, and then told the driver that a K-9 unit was on the way. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of glass bongs with residue, a digital scale, a zipper bag that contained methamphetamine, and items related to the delivery of a controlled substance. Stephen Tyler Perry is charged with drug trafficking, delivery of a controlled substance, and 2 counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His next hearing is set for April 2nd.
