Lake Regional Hospital says one in every three patients is suffering from COVID-19

Administrators with Lake Regional Health Center in Osage Beach now say that one of every three patients in the facility has COVID-19. On Friday there were reports of 24 positive COVID-19 inpatients out of 72 total patients in the hospital. The number of patients requiring hospitalization has been moving upward since the middle of last month, from a daily census of 10 to 15 virus inpatients to a census of more than 20 virus inpatients per day for the past week. To date, Lake Regional has cared for more than 100 patients hospitalized for COVID-19, and many more in their Emergency Department. Even Hospital CEO Dane Henry tested positive last month but has since recovered.
