Lake Ozark Woman arrested for endangering a child
A Lake Ozark woman is facing charges after being found intoxicated and passed out in front of a motel room, with her infant child unattended inside. Lake Ozark Police responded to the motel in the 28-hundred block of Bagnell Dam Boulevard on Sunday, July 25th, for a report of a woman who was partially clothed, and unconscious outside the room. When they arrived they found 40-year-old Leslie Owens, passed out and completely naked from the waist down. In the motel room, officers found an infant in the bed, with pillows around his head. The child reportedly wasn’t wearing a diaper and was soaked, and there was a bottle of spoiled formula next to him. There were no other clothing, diapers or formula in the room, but there was a bottle of alcohol that was 3/4 empty on top of the refrigerator. Leslie Levi Owens who was on probation for manslaughter involving the death of another child was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She remains in custody.
