Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments has joined with MoDot for the Buckle Up Phone Down campaign

The Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments has joined up with MoDot in an effort to encourage everyone to put their phones down while driving. Scott Montgomery Planner with LOCLG said that the number of fatal crashes has increased in the Lake Region, and across the state.

Montgomery said they are trying to get private industry to openly support employee safety through safety campaigns or by getting them to change policy to ban cellphone use in company vehicles and making seatbelts mandatory.
