The Community Cares Program is accepting grant applications now until August 31, 2022, for 2023 grants. In order to qualify as a member agency, your organization must be a not-for-profit organization. Melinda Fries has more.

LAF will be hosting two FREE grant workshops to help those who are applying for Community Cares grants. The first workshop will be held on Tuesday, July 26 at 5:30 pm and the second workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 9. Both workshops are being held at the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce. To reserve a seat at the July or August workshop, representatives of the nonprofits applying for the grant must RSVP by calling the LAF office at 417-532-8868.

Community Cares grant funds will be primarily focused on supporting vital services and programs that meet basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, disaster relief, utility assistance, literacy, mental health counseling, and services for the elderly and disabled. If your organization is approved as a member agency, all Community Cares funding must be used in Laclede County. For more information about Community Cares or if you wish to make a donation to support this community effort, please contact Melinda Fries at 417-532-8868, or by email at [email protected].
