Laclede Literacy Americorps Group Opening up Applications Now

Americorps is an organization that helps strengthen the community. All of the people involved in the Laclede Literacy Council are volunteers but they are called members of the organization because of how much they help the community. Volunteering at different events around the community is the sole purpose of the Americorps groups. The Laclede Literacy Council Americorps organization members will be going to multiple schools around the area instead of just one this year. Carol Barsby with the Laclede Literacy Council says that there are certain things the members have to do.

Barsby says the members will help with tutoring at the schools this summer.
