Laclede County Woman Misses Court Date, Warrant Issued
An arrest warrant has been issued for a woman from Laclede County, who is accused of placing methamphetamine and opiates within access of her child.
38-year-old Amethyst Garrett, who lists an address of a motel in Lebanon, was initially scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Monday morning but did not appear. Garrett faces two charges of possessing controlled substances. Her jury trial is currently set for October.
Garrett’s arrest occurred in April of 2022 following the execution of a search warrant at her residence in Stoutland by law enforcement officers from multiple agencies. The search yielded nearly 60 grams of methamphetamine, Oxycodone pills, drug-related paraphernalia, and a 20-gauge shotgun with its serial number deliberately removed.
A pre-trial conference for Garrett is scheduled for September 18 before Judge Aaron Koeppen in Laclede County.
