The latest sales tax numbers are in for Laclede County with a 10% increase for the year. Both General Revenue and the County Development Tax are at more than $261-thousand for November. At this time, the 2022 numbers show an increase of about $176-thousand overall. Cansler said it’s good to know that because of the increase they won’t have to make substantial cuts 2023. For the year, Laclede County general revenue sales tax is currently $2-million-968-thousand-dollars. The Law Enforcement Sales Tax also saw an increase in revenue for the year with an overal total at $1-million-115-thousand-83. The Laclede County Commission continues work on the 2023 budget with hearings coming up soon and the adoption of the new budget expected to take place on January 31st.
