A June first arraignment date is set for a Laclede County man charged with rape. The victim reported to police that she woke in her home on April 5th, to find 22-year old Timothy Calton, whom she had an order of protection against, in her room. She also reported that he pulled a pistol from his hoodie and laid it on the nightstand. During the sexual assault on the victim, Calton allegedly choked her to keep her from screaming. When he was leaving, Calton took their 1-year-old son with him. Calton was later arrested at his residence in Phillipsburg. He is charged with rape, domestic assault, burglary, and violation of a protection order.
