Laclede County man charged with Domestic Assault

A Laclede County man is facing charges after Deputies responded to a call about a disturbance in the 32-thousand block of Orchard Drive on March 15th. At the scene, a woman told authorities that her boyfriend, identified as 34 year old Matthew Corey Hildebrand, got mad about her accusing him of cheating and spit in her face. She said she punched him in the face after which he grabbed her by the throat and she fell back hitting her head on the floor. The woman said that Hildebrand strangled her leaving marks on her throat. She said she was able to get up and ran into the bedroom to protect her baby and to lock the guns up in her safe. Hildebrand is charged with domestic assault and has been issued a summons to appear in court on April 17th.
