Laclede County I-44 Accident Injures Tulsa Woman

A 33-year old Tulsa, Oklahoma woman was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield following a 3-vehicle accident at 3:10 Sunday afternoon on Interstate 44, at the 121.4-mile marker westbound. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a Ford Expedition driven by 34-year old Erik M. Hofstad of Chesterfield was stopping for traffic when a car driven by Shi D. Simmons of Tulsa struck the rear of the Hofstad vehicle, causing a vehicle driven by 46-year old Shawn M. Krencik of Aubrey Texas to overturn in the roadway. All involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts.
