Laclede County Health Department confirms COVID-19 and releases locations visited by the positive testing Individual

The Laclede County Health Department is reporting the first laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19 in Laclede County. Health officials report the case was travel-related, and due to close contact with a positive individual outside of Laclede County. Health Department Administrator Charla Baker tells us the individual, who will not be identified, tested positive two days after being exposed to COVID-19….

The Laclede County Health Department released the following locations visited by the Individual since May 1st

May 1 (after 5:30 p.m.) – Walmart in Lebanon
May 1 (after 5:30 p.m.) – Walgreens in Lebanon
May 1 (after 5:30 p.m.) Casey’s (669 E. Elm St.)
May 4 (morning hours) Buzz Cuts Barber Shop
May 4 (after 1 p.m.) Show Sensation in Lebanon
May 4 (after 3 p.m.) J.R.’s Western Store in Lebanon
May 5 (evening hours) Twin Oaks (1130 Lynn St.)
May 5 (evening hours) Kum & Go (501 Cowan Dr.)
May 5 (evening hours) Breaktime (101 E. 7th St.)
May 5 (evening hours) Casey’s (850 N. Jefferson Ave.)

Anyone at these locations disclosed on these dates is considered low risk for contracting COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms.

Baker reminds everyone that it’s extremely important to follow CDC prevention measures….

Everyone is encouraged to practice frequent handwashing, clean all surfaces, cough or sneeze into a tissue, wear a mask in public, do not gather in large groups, maintain a distance of 6 feet from others, and stay home if you are sick.
