During Tuesday night’s Lebanon R-3 School Board of Directors meeting both the district and the Laclede County Health Department, were criticized by a group of parents for the way learning is being conducted at Lebanon High School. Currently, the district has students at the High School in class two days a week and virtually two days per week. The parents feel that the district needs to put students at the High School back at in-person learning for the entire week, due to a negative impact on learning. Laclede County Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says a model was developed at the beginning of the school year to use as a guide for when students should be in the classroom………

Baker says, according to the current model, very few Laclede County students should be doing in-person learning at this time……..

Baker says her department is not an expert in the best education practices, but they are doing what is best for the health of all Laclede County residents, including those under the age of 18.
