The state of Missouri reported 3,858 new cases on Thursday, in addition to 67 new deaths, bringing the total number of dead to 4,450. Only ten other states have reported more deaths than Missouri over the past week. Only 22 percent of hospital beds, and 18 percent of intensive-care unit beds, across the state are available for patients at this time. Only 6 percent of intensive-care unit beds are available in southwest Missouri.
