The Laclede County Health Department has identified two more positive cases of COVID-19, and one probable case of the virus. That brings the county total to 200 cases, with 25 of those currently active. Two of the new cases today are tied to the outbreak in the Joel E. Barber Summer School program, bringing that total to at least eight students and staff. Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says all of today’s cases were symptomatic, but there were no known public exposure risks……….

Baker says it’s unfortunate that the number of cases at Joel E. Barber continues to grow………

Baker says it would be their recommendation that all students wear a mask when they head back to the classroom on August 24th.
The state of Missouri reported 996 cases on Friday, under 1-thousand for the first time in several days. The number of deaths jumped by 23 though, bringing that total to 1,301.
