Laclede County food service establishments that have not submitted the paperwork for their license for 2021 are overdue. Laclede County Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says businesses should have gotten a reminder in November that the paperwork and fee were due by the end of the year. Baker says a second reminder went out last week……….

Baker says most Laclede County foodservice establishments have complied, but there are some that remain delinquent……….

If a business does not turn in the required paperwork and fee, Baker says the Laclede County Health Department is authorized to close that business until it is received……….

All food service establishments in Laclede County are subject to the ordinance, which was enacted a few years ago. Baker says the ordinance allows the department to play a larger role in food safety.
