While many other fairs across the area have been canceled this year, the Laclede County Fair will still be held in July. Laclede County Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says she has had a few conversations with Fair Board President Glen Raef on how to minimize the risk of having a super spreader COVID-19 event by having the fair. Baker says one of the things the Fair Board will do to combat the risk is to eliminate Senior Day………..

Another issue of concern is the Market Animal Sale, which typically draws hundreds of spectators. Baker says she has not discussed that specific issue with Raef………..

Another area of concern, the grandstand events, are scheduled to take place as planned. The Laclede County Fair will begin on Monday, July 6th, and will conclude on Saturday, July 11th.
