Laclede County Election Results Aug 4, 2020
Voter turnout in Laclede County was 31.73 percent on Tuesday’s election. In the local races in Laclede County: On the Republican ticket, Eastern District Commissioner: David Layman received 57 percent of the vote over Kelly Doublin. Western District Commissioner incumbent Darrell Pollock received 50. 94 percent of the vote over challenger Joe Wasmer. Sheriff David Millsap, Assessor Julie Rayl-Gilstrap, Coroner: Steve Murrell, and Surveyor Steve Mathis were unopposed on the Republican Ticket. 123rd District State Representative: Suzie Pollock and 129th District Representative Jeff Knight were unopposed and in the race for the Republican nomination for Public Administrator: challenger Zane McCaslin received 59.68 percent of the votes. For East Lebanon Committeeman: Steve Murrell received 51.15 percent of the vote over Sam Allen. With all 4 counties reporting in for the Circuit Judge 26th Division 3 Aaron Koeppen won the nomination with 11,869 votes.
On the Constitution Party Ticket: Pat Bellew was unopposed as 123rd District State Representative
On the Democratic ticket: the only local race was for West Lebanon Committeeman: John Hopkins received 55.62 percent of the vote over Paul Massey. There was only one local issue on the ballot in Laclede County. That was the Conway Special Road District question to continue a 35 cent tax levy, which passed with 59 percent of the vote.
