Laclede County Commissioners Discussing the 2024 County Budget

Since the beginning of January, the Laclede County Commissioners have been discussing the 2024 county budget. The budget takes a decent amount of days to discuss as the commissioners have much reviewing and scheduling with other department heads to talk about their budgets. Presiding County Commissioner Randy Angst says most of the county budget prioritizes law enforcement, roads, and bridges.
Angst says that the budget is built primarily on sales tax dollars.
The commissioners are still waiting for the final numbers for the 2024 county budget. Once the commissioners get those final numbers on the 2024 county budget it will be available for folks to comment on at the county clerks page on the city website during a 10 day period.
