The Laclede County Commission continued discussion on a request to vacate Monaco Lane and sign a quit claim deed over to Jace Glendenning, who owns property at the end of Bent Tree Estates. Glendenning first brought the request to the county about a year ago, and has been moving forward with the paperwork required. The commission discussed whether it would be prudent to split the road or quit claim all of it…

Glendenning told the Commissioners that he had been having issues with members of the public driving onto his property leaving trash and other things behind, so for the safety of his family he installed an electronic gate on Monaco Lane, starting at the edge of his property. The commissioners will be seeking input from the county attorney to get clarification on whether they should vacate the road or do a quit claim deed or both, and should have an answer for the property owner in the near future.
