Laclede County Commission has agreed to a contract to receive property taxes for the City of Lebanon
After much discussion, the Laclede County Commission has agreed to a contract that will allow County Collector Toni Morris to receive property taxes for the City of Lebanon. Presiding County Commissioner Randy Angst says this is an agreement that is renewed annually.
Per the contract, the Laclede County Collector’s Office will be paid 2 percent of the property taxes and penalties assessed for the City not to exceed $ 16 thousand, and 3 and a half percent of anything over $ 16 thousand will be paid to the commission. The agreement will remain in effect until any amendments or modifications are made. The agreement will still have to be signed by the Mayor.
