The Laclede County Clerk has received more than $31-thousand for elections through the CARES Act funding. County Clerk Linda Cansler tells Regional Radio News this will help in continued preparedness in the COVID-19 pandemic, to allow for social distancing and protection of the election judges and the voters.

Cansler said that while it is too late if you haven’t registered to vote, you can still correct your address with the County Clerk’s office, if you have moved since the last election. The April Municipal Election was postponed to June 2nd, and absentee voting continues. There are several city and school board elections on the ballot, and there is one Laclede Countywide ballot issue, asking for approval of a use tax.
