The Laclede County Health Department could soon be offering a Coronavirus screening clinic. Laclede County Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, has been hashing out the details with other community partners. The board discussed a major issue the department has been facing regarding the Coronavirus outbreak. That issue is how easily false information and rumors get shared on social media sites, such as Facebook……..

Baker told the board the virus has necessitated changes in the Women, Infants, and Children branch of the health department……..

On a brighter note, Leslie Anderson provided the board with an update on how successful the Diaper Bank program has been………

Baker also told the board that the internal work on the audit has been completed, and results will be presented during a future meeting. There has also been a delayed rollout for the E-WIC program in Missouri. That has been delayed until June 29th. The board also decided, for the foreseeable future, to hold their meetings online.
