A Laclede County man who is already facing charges for allegedly leaving his son’s body to decompose in the elements after he shot himself, is now facing additional criminal charges in Laclede County. Thomas Dean Johnson was charged with the abandonment of a corpse on December 20th. Days later the investigation by Laclede County authorities has led to multiple additional charges against Johnson. During the death investigation, law enforcement seized multiple guns and drugs. On Monday, Johnson was charged with 7 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, 1 count of delivery of a controlled substance, and 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance. His next court date is set for January 3rd.
