MARMOL SPENT THE PAST THREE SEASONS WORKING UNDER MIKE SHILDT, WHO WAS DISMISSED ON OCTOBER 14TH DUE TO “PHILOSOPHICAL DIFFERENCES” BETWEEN HIM AND THE FRONT OFFICE. MARMOL WAS THE CARDS’ SIXTH-ROUND SELECTION IN THE 2007 MLB DRAFT.
