Jordan Weber tossed a no-hitter as the Lady Tigers blanked the Cyclones to win an NCAA softball regional in Columbia. Weber struck out seven and walked two .. Coach Larissa Anderson said the pitching took things to a different level.

MIzzou is now 41-15, and will host James Madison in the Super Regional in a best two of three series..Game 1 is Friday night at 8:00..

Javy Baez hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning as the Cubs edged the Cardinals in 10 innings on KJEl. Neither team scored until the 10th. Zach Davies pitched five scoreless innings for Chicago. Closer Craig Kimbrel picked up the victory for the Cubs, who have won six-of-eight. Nolan Arenado drove in the lone St. Louis run in the bottom of the 10th. Adam Wainwright pitched eight scoreless innings for the Cardinals. Manager Mike Shildt said it was too bad the outcome came about as it did.

Alex Reyes was tagged with the loss for St. Louis, which has dropped two of three. The Cards keep Chicago as the opponent, but tonight it’s in the Windy City against the White Sox..Pre-game coverage begins at 6:05 on Regional Radio..

Carlos Santana hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to give KC a home victory. Kansas City was held to only three hits and one run before the ninth when Whit Merrifield led off with an infield single before Santana belted the homer. Kyle Zimmer picked up the win in relief..

The Royals took two-of-three in the series and after an off-day, will play tomorrow night at Tampa Bay…
