THE YELLOWJACKETS WERE ABLE TO OUTLAST THE INDIANS AS PART OF A THREE HOUR 10 MINUTE MARATHON IN THE TITLE MATCHUP OF TWO TEAMS THAT COMPILED 3-0 RECORDS IN POOL PLAY…STRAFFORD JUMPED OUT TO A QUICK 3-RUN LEAD BEFORE LEBANON TIED IT IN THE THIRD AND WENT AHEAD WITH TWO IN THE FOURTH…STRAFFORD PULLED EVEN IN THE LAST OF THE 7TH AND IT STAYED 5-5 UNTIL THE TENTH WHEN COLE MILLIKEN SINGLED IN THE GO-AHEAD RUN, AND BLAKE DECKARD STRANDED THE TYING RUN AT 2ND TO FINISH A SIX INNING RELIEF STINT WHICH EARNED HIM THE PITCHING VICTORY… LEBANON COACH ALEX WEATHERMON WAS IMPRESSED THAT HIS TEAM WAS ABLE TO EMERGE WITH THE DECISION TO CONCLUDE WHAT’S BEEN A LONG WEEK OF FIVE GAMES AWAY FROM HOME….
