The Indians completed a four-game sweep. The fifth straight win for Cleveland handed Kansas City its fifth straight loss after they entered the series with the best record in baseball. It marked the first time in the 48-year history of Kauffman Stadium that the Indians swept a four-game series at the park. Franmil Reyes hit his eighth home run and Amed Rosario drove in two runs for Cleveland. Danny Duffy gave up three runs in five-and-two-thirds innings to take the loss for KC.
