Kids fishing day canceled

(Jefferson City)–This Saturday was to be Kids’ Fishing Day at several sites in the state, but due to continuing coronavirus concerns, the Missouri Department of Conservation has canceled all of Saturday’s planned events.
The department had previously planned May 2nd events at Montauk State Park near Licking and Bennett Spring State Park in Lebanon, as well as May 16th events at Roaring River State Park near Cassville, and Maramec Spring Park in St. James.
The Conservation Department also announced that it has extended the temporary closures of its facilities and cancellations of all public events and programs through April 30th.
